3 other boroughs to visit New York City, NY

New York is a very exciting and aspiring city.  It is well-known that everybody is inspired to visit it and hopefully live there.  As Alysia Keys says, New York is indeed a "concrete jungle where dreams are made of." It seems to be synonymous with Manhattan, which has Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Empire State Building, to name but a few.  However, less is known about other 4 boroughs, which are also very exciting and unique:  Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island.

Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge

Due to many attractions and, fortunately or unfortunately, gentrification, Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx have been getting more and more attentions these days.  Some of the neighbourhoods in Brooklyn are spotlighted and attract a lot of domestic and international tourists.  Queens, a little less glamorous than Brooklyn, are getting popular, while The Bronx are catching up. However,  even popular travel guidebooks still have a long way to update information and pictures to illustrate how beautiful and worth seeing these boroughs.

With more focus on Brooklyn and Queens, we would like to provide some information, pictures, and further inspiration to view these places in your own eyes.  The 4 posts below illustrate the beauty in the following order.

  1. 3 trendy neighborhoods to visit in Brooklyn: Bushwick, Bedford Stuyvesant, and Prospect Heights.
  2. 3 best places to visit in Queens: Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Sunnyside, and Long Island City
  3.  A short introduction of the Bronx
  4. The best spot to see three stunning bridges over East River:  Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges
