Sakura: Cherry Blossoms

Tune In Nagoya provides Japan Rail Pass users or frugal travelers with  the first tip you should know about how to comfortably get out of the first entry point to Japan, or Narita Airpot, to reach Tokyo!!

First and the most, Japan Rail Pass users should choose  Narita Express because you can get on this train with the Pass.
  • Narita Express. 3020 yen for 59-minute ride to Tokyo Station.  This Express also stops at Shinagwa (品川), Shinjyuku (新宿), Shibuya (渋谷) and others.
IF you want to save your Pass upon your arrival (due to late arrival or just heading to the hotel in downtown Tokyo) for later excursion, some other options available.   (As you know it is not cost-effective if you use the Pass for a short duration of train ride.)

1) Trains:
These trains are NOT JR line, but you can access to other stations, such as Ueno, Shinagawa, and Nihonbashi, as well as to Tokyo Station.

IF you are heading to Tokyo Staion or Shinagawa Station, Keisei Sky Liner is convenient.
  • Keisei Sky Liner. 2470 yen for 36-minute ride to Ueno (上野), Nippori (日暮里).  This fare includes express charge.  See  "スカイライナー運賃表 "of the above link and you can get some sense of the route.
IF you are heading for Nihonbashi or Shinbashi, Narita Sky Accees, Access Tokyu (Express) is convenient.
  • Narita Sky Access, Access Tokyu (Express)  For 58-minute ride to Either to Shinagawa (品川) (1520 yen)  Shinbashi (新橋) (1330 yen),  Nihonbashi (日本橋) (1330 yen) OR to Ueno (上野) (1240 yen), Nippori (日暮里) (1240 yen).  No express charge is necessary for this train service.  See  "成田スカイアクセス線経由主要駅運賃表"of the above link and you can get some sense of the route.
IF you can take a little more time for a bit less expensive train, Keisei Line Express is another option to reach Shinbashi, Nihongashi, Ueno, and Nippori.

2) Buses:
IF you prefer buses from Narita Airport to Tokyo, three buses are available.  The last one is Airport Limousine service.
